These are the services, datasets and core projects that the current WORLD code actually uses.

Data and services

GeoNames

City names, coordinates, population and time-zone records used by the city index.

Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0).

Natural Earth & world-atlas

Country and administrative boundary geometry, distributed in TopoJSON through world-atlas.

Natural Earth data is public domain; world-atlas is ISC licensed.

OpenStreetMap contributors

Underlying road, place, land-use and boundary data displayed in detailed map views.

Open Database License (ODbL). The required map attribution remains visible on the globe.

OpenFreeMap & OpenMapTiles

Vector map tiles, styles, glyphs and the schema used for close map detail.

OpenMapTiles schema and styles use BSD and CC BY terms; OpenStreetMap attribution also applies.

Radio Browser

Community directory used to build the local radio catalog and report playback clicks on a best-effort basis.

Community-maintained directory; station names, marks and streams remain the responsibility of their respective broadcasters.

IPTV-org API

TV channel, feed, stream, logo, location, language, category and blocklist metadata used to build the local TV catalog.

The API project is released under The Unlicense. Broadcaster content and marks remain with their respective owners.

Open-Meteo

Current local weather shown in city panels through WORLD's server route.

Weather API data is licensed under CC BY 4.0.

Official broadcaster sources

Selected official pages, HLS streams and YouTube Privacy Enhanced embeds for live television.

Each broadcaster sets its own content, availability, brand and usage terms.
