PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

This policy describes the behavior of the current radiotv.world application. Accounts are optional; the map, search, radio and television remain available without one.

Information handled by WORLD

When you request a page, the hosting and network infrastructure may receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, referrer and request time. The repository does not define a separate analytics system or a custom retention period for server logs.

WORLD does not require an account or personal information to explore the map, listen to radio, watch television or search the catalog.

Optional accounts and Supabase

If you choose to create an account, Supabase processes your email address, password authentication data, session data and the identifiers of radio stations you save. WORLD does not store your password itself. These records provide sign-in, password recovery and favorite synchronization across devices.

Favorite rows are private and protected by database row-level security so an authenticated user can read, add and remove only their own records. WORLD does not create a separate profile row in this version.

Information stored in your browser

The application uses browser local storage to remember favorite cities and stations, recently visited and discovered cities, the previous station, volume and mute settings, and whether onboarding has been completed. Account sessions also use essential browser cookies so sign-in can persist securely.

Visitor favorites remain local unless you choose to sign in. On sign-in, local radio favorites are added to the account and combined with existing account favorites; the local copy is not erased by that merge. You can remove browser data through your browser's site controls.

Advertising and consent

WORLD includes one Google AdSense script. Google and participating advertising providers may use cookies, local storage, device information and request data to serve, limit, personalize or measure advertising, depending on your location, consent choices and the publisher's AdSense settings. WORLD does not currently include Google Analytics.

Where a Google consent message is configured and applicable, it provides the available consent controls. Learn more in the Cookie Policy and in Google's advertising privacy information.

External services and live media

The globe loads map assets from OpenFreeMap. City weather is requested by WORLD's server from Open-Meteo. When you play a radio or television stream, open an official source, or load an external station logo or YouTube Privacy Enhanced player, your browser connects to that third party. Those providers receive the technical data needed to deliver the request and apply their own privacy terms.

The datasets used to build the local catalogs are listed on Sources & Credits.

External links

WORLD links to broadcasters, source projects and other websites. Their privacy practices are outside WORLD's control. Review their policies before sharing information with them.

Your choices, deletion and rights

You can clear local preferences, remove individual synchronized favorites, sign out, decline or change advertising consent where the consent interface is available, block third-party content through browser controls, and stop using a stream at any time.

A signed-in user can permanently delete their account and synchronized favorites from the Account page after a strong confirmation. Local browser preferences are separate and can be cleared with browser controls. You may also use the Contact page for a privacy request. Depending on where you live, data protection law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing.

Changes

This policy will be updated when the product's data practices materially change. The date at the top identifies the current version.
